  1. IPX/SPX could not be initialized for Winmenu!!! 
  2. Below are some common reasons and suggestions:

  4. 1) Check 'Installing Winmenu' in the online documentation 
  5. (admin.hlp) and verify you have the latest Novell drivers. 
  6.  
  7. 2) IPX tried to increase the amount of local memory and couldn't.
  8.  Increase the available memory in your workstation.
  9.  
  10. 3) IPX sockets are in direct conflict with some other application.
  11. Try changing the Winmenu sockets value. These are like 
  12. communication channels which might be conflicting with 
  13. another application using the same sockets. See 'Changing sockets' 
  14. in the online documentation (admin.hlp). NOTE: See C:\NETCOM.log
  15.  
  16. 4) Whne evrything else fails, you may permanently disable the IPX 
  17. functionality in Winmenu.  The IPX function is a trivial one for the
  18. system and not necessary for the intended purpose of Winmenu.  Rename
  19. or erase the file NETCOM.DLL in your Winmenu's directory.
